Car Protection Film

Armoring a car with a protective film

Protective film armor - covering the surface of the car with a protective film that prevents damage to the car body during everyday operation of the car. The car is armored with a special transparent film that does not change the color of the car, and at the same time reliably protects its surface from chips, scratches and other defects. Protecting the car with a film allows not only to improve the appearance of the car, but also to keep it in good condition for a long period of time. The protective anti-gravel film reliably protects the surface of the car from most mechanical, abrasive or other damages to the body.

What caused the appearance of such a service as armoring a car with a protective anti-gravel film? During everyday operation, the machine is subjected to various kinds of influences caused by moving along, let's say, not very high-quality roadways. Gravel, small stones and other debris flying from under the wheels of cars damage the paint and create surface defects, even ordinary sand leads to a deterioration in the appearance and quality of the paint coating. All these effects not only spoil the appearance of the car, but can also cause premature occurrence of corrosion foci.

Protective film was originally developed to protect the surface of helicopter blades from sand and was first used in military operations in the Persian Gulf. The high performance of the protective film has caused it to spread to other areas of technology, and now the protective anti-gravel film is used to armor cars and protect painted and easily damaged surfaces. Covering with a protective film makes it possible to abandon the protective metal and plastic structures, which have low efficiency and often spoil the appearance of the car. The protective anti-gravel film does not change the color or the degree of gloss of the surface to which it is applied. Polishing of surfaces covered with a protective film is carried out using conventional products used when polishing a car.

Protective film is recommended for armoring cars with massive front bumpers or low cars, as they are most susceptible to damage from gravel, sand and other road debris. Typically, a protective film is used to armor the most vulnerable elements of a car body - the front bumper, grille, headlights, hood, fenders, etc. But no less vulnerable is the rear of the car body, subject to various kinds of mechanical stress. Even in the case of minor accidents, the protective film can help - at the point of contact under the film, a dent is simply formed, without damaging the paintwork, which is easy to remove.
