Wood Plastic Composite Board
A board or decking made of wood-polymer composite material with a thermoplastic binder is an excellent building material and is widely used for the construction of structures and buildings for various purposes. The wood-composite board is ideal for the construction and repair of domestic, utility and industrial buildings and structures.
Production of Wood Plastic Composite Board
A wood plastic composite board is made by continuous extrusion from a mixture of plastic, shredded wood and special additives. The more wood in the composition of a WPC board, the closer it is in properties to a wooden board. Board, or decking, from wood-polymer materials is widely used in construction - at present, more than half of the world's production of products from wood plastic composites is the decking market.
Characteristics of Wood Plastic Composite Decking
The industry produces a wood plastic composite decking, the composition of which is from 50 to 80 percent of the wood filler, this percentage varies depending on what properties the manufactured board should have. The board has a size of 150x30 mm, hollow from the inside, wall thickness 3 mm, with three partitions 2 mm thick. The surface of the board is smooth on one side, corrugated on the other. A board made of wood plastic composite material is processed in the same way as a regular wooden board and during construction work, ordinary tools and fasteners can be used, as is the case with wood.
